Sinus infections and pets

The sinuses are bony cavities in the skull that meet up with the nasal cavities and are prone to infection, especially after a cold or other upper respiratory tract infection. In cats and dogs, sinus infections may be caused by bacteria, fungi or viruses and are sometimes even associated with tooth abscesses. Sinusitis (inflammation of the sinuses) may also be caused by non-infectious ailments such as allergies.

How do I use Sinu-Rite?

DIRECTIONS:

Sinu-Rite tablets may be given whole or crushed and mixed with food or a treat, depending on your pet's size and preferences.

DOSAGE

Cats and Dogs under 20 lbs: 1 tablet 3-5 times daily
Dogs 20-50 lbs: 2 tablets 3-5 times daily
Dogs over 50 lbs: 3 tablets 3-5 times daily

He still played and ate but had alot of congestion and sometimes a nasty discharge from his little nose. I saw this website and decided i would give it a try. I was desperate to get him comfortable again. The trips to vet were stressful and even on antibiotics he would get ill again a couple months after they were finished.. Rated 5 out of 5 by Saved this cat from euthanasia! Two months ago a cat who has had chronic sinus problems all of his 9 years was being abandoned and was headed for euthanasia. I could not let his life be ended without at least trying to help him. I irrigated the little guys sinus passages and he was so full of mucus that he could barely breath. I researched a lot and ordered SINU-RITE. Long story short, he went from barely lifting his head up and being a sickly little old man to playing, eating better and breathing freely! He actually comes to me to get his pills and when he does have any sinus concern he comes and asks me to help him "blow his nose!" Instead of constant mass quantities of thick mucus with signs of infection, he occasionally has a little sneeze with a clear liquid discharge. He was sneezing out gross looking snot throughout the day on my furniture and walls. You could always tell where he was not because you saw him but because you could hear his wheezing. I finally stumbled on you guys and started Sinu-Rite, later adding Respo-K. It took a little while - 1-2 months before I realized he was getting better. Now I no longer have my furniture covered with sheets nor have my washrag always out to wipe his nose. I tried to get as many doses in him as I could during the day in the beginning but now I've reduced the frequency of the remedy to 1-2x/day and he is doing just fine. I am so relieved! I loved him so much and just had to have him even though he was sickly. Now we're good to go and looking forward to a nice long life together. I am recommending you to everyone I know. Rated 5 out of 5 by Works great! I have a 2 yr. old rescue Pug with Megaesophagus and chronic sinus problems. We have the first ailment pretty well under control, but the sinus issue, which included snoring, drippy nose, coughing and regurgitating all of the sinus stuff was getting pretty bad. The Vet put her on antibiotics all of the time, and as soon as she was off a few days , it would start again. This product worked so well, that within 2 days her sinuses seemed to clear up, she slept better and best of all, no spitting up all of the phlegm like she had before. Rated 5 out of 5 by Helped Relieve Chronic Sinusitis My 11 year old cat has had chronic respiratory infections and sinusitis since he was a kitten. After many rounds of antibiotics, they were no longer effective. I tried Sinu-rite as a last resort and to my amazement, it really works! My cat had a constantly runny nose and sneezed large amounts of mucus, and those symptoms have almost completely disappeared. Rated 5 out of 5 by Unbelievable results! My miniature dachshund has suffered from coughing for years and over the last 4 months sinus problems. The spring and early summer was frightful with her conjestion - every day she was struggling to breath - the evenings being the worst. We tried all types of over the counter meds for allergies with no luck. We used saline drops (not a fun process). Prednisone was the only thing that worked and without it the symtoms came back. Unfortunately there are long term health concerns so keeping her on a steroid was not an option. I read the reviews and thought I'd give Sinu-Rite a try and the vets agreed. We received Sinu-Rite on June 21st and in two weeks have had only one morning with a slightly stuffy nose (I upped her dosage that day and it went away). Her congestion problems for the time being are gone and I can only hope it continues. I give her 3 tablets a day (she's 11 lbs) but will go up to 5 pills if I sense the slightest congestion. These pills are so small that I just put it with a treat and drop it in her mouth and she doesn't know the difference. I usually manage to get 3 pills a day into her and find that she does do better when I do. She breaths and sounds so much better and her sneezing is down to a minimum. After a few weeks I noticed she seemed to get choked, almost like she had post nasal drip that made a cough and snort several times a day. Her Vet said it was allergies. We live in the South and that was not unusual for the time of year. It was not getting better however, and I hated to see her having this discomfort. I began to research her symptoms. After surgery and numerous antibotics and anti-inflamatory pills from the vet that offered her little relief I was afraid that I was going to have to put her to sleep because I did not want to see her suffer anymore. Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW!! I stray cat showed up about 2 yrs ago where I used to live with my older sister. I named him Grandpa. He was a mess, has no teeth, and was definitely an abandoned pet. However, since having him, he has had chronic nasal sneezing, runny nasal and bloody discharge with watery eyes. I seems to have gotten worse in the last six months and I was cleaning his nose and eyes all throughout the day. He looked miserable. I was taking him to the vets for anti-biotics and a steroid shot. But the results were temporary. Next step was to see if perhaps he had a nasal polyp. I read ALL the reviews from satisfied pet owners and decided to give this a try.
