What is Thyroid Soothe?

Thyroid Soothe is a safe, non-addictive, natural remedy containing 100% homeopathic ingredients especially selected to relieve symptoms associated with hyperthyroidism including changes in appetite, excessive shedding, hyperactivity and nervousness without the potentially dangerous side effects associated with prescription drugs.

Formulated by our team of experts in natural medicine, Thyroid Soothe is a FDA-registered OTC homeopathic medicine that balances thyroid hormone levels and routine energy levels while also supporting a healthy weight and hair growth.

Thyroid Soothe is also a great complementary remedy to Skin and Coat Tonic™, which supports liver, kidney and thyroid functioning to promote healthy skin and shiny coats. Taken together, these remedies can safely and effectively alleviate symptoms associated with hyperthyroidism, such as excessive shedding.

Thyroid Soothe is available in two forms, granules or spray, and either form may be administered depending on your pet’s preference. The dissolvable tiny granules can be sprinkled on the back of the tongue and left to dissolve, while the spray can be administered directly into the mouth, or onto your pet's food or water.

All PetAlive homeopathic products and biochemic tissue salts are manufactured in a FDA- and GMP-registered pharmaceutical facility under the supervision of qualified homeopaths and responsible pharmacists. Individual ingredients are listed in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS).

Hyperthyroidism in pets

The thyroid gland produces thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) that have a number of functions in the body and are particularly critical in maintaining your pet’s metabolic rate. TSH is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland and tells the thyroid gland to make and release the hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). When the thyroid gland becomes overactive and produces too much thyroid hormone, it’s known as hyperthyroidism.

This in turn may have an impact on a range of other body functions such as digestion (also body weight), heart rate and reproductive functioning. Energy levels and skin and coat health are also influenced by hyperthyroidism, and so your pet may feel fatigued or have a dull coat if there are problems and the thyroid is not optimally functioning. Maintaining a balance of thyroid hormones and of the pituitary gland that regulates them is therefore important for the overall systemic health of your dog or cat and to prevent diseases down the road.

The natural way

Hyperthyroidism in pets in conventionally treated with radioactive iodine (I-131) and anti-thyroid medications. However, these treatments also come with the risk of dangerous side effects that can be as serious as liver damage, anemia, hair loss and lethargy.

Natural remedies are a safe, gentle and effective alternative to conventional medicine, without the risk of side effects or addiction. They can be used to relieve symptoms of hyperthyroidism in pets by addressing the underlying causes and help improve the overall functioning of the thyroid.

The thyroid gland does not operate in isolation and should be seen as part of overall systemic functioning. From a holistic approach, therefore, it makes sense that regular exercise and a balanced diet are important in maintaining systemic as well as thyroid health. Certain herbs are also known to support the health of the thyroid. As animals react well to supplementation with herbal remedies, these can also play an important role in supporting a pet’s thyroid function. Homeopathic remedies can be equally effective in maintaining skin and coat health, energy levels, digestive functioning and a healthy body weight.

What are the ingredients?

Thyroid Soothe is a 100% homeopathic formula and contains the following ingredients in therapeutic dosage: Chamomilla (30C), Iodium (30C), Lycopus (6C), Nux vom (30C), Zingiber (3X).

  • Chamomilla (30C) is frequently recommended by homeopaths for its calming and soothing properties. One study even documented chamomile used in Sao Paulo by parents to promote natural relaxation for their children (Alves, A. R. and da Silva, M. J. "Use of phytotherapy in children up to 5 years of age in a central and peripheral area of the city of Sao Paulo." Rev Esc Enferm. USP. 2003;37(4):85-91.).
  • Iodium (30C) is a homeopathic preparation of iodine. Unlike iodine, Iodium 30C can be helpful at soothing thyroid function.
  • Lycopus (6C) suits animals that have a lackluster coat or a coat that is patchy and uneven. Lycopus can also help to promote the health of the endocrine system. In homeopathic potency, Lycopus is useful in the treatment of erratic pulse as well as respiratory problems.
  • Nux vom (30C) is often used for animals that are bilious or nauseous. It is a great remedy for pets that are irritable or don’t like being touched when they are not feeling one hundred percent.
  • Zingiber (3X) is known for its soothing and calming properties and is gentle enough for animals of all ages and sizes. At this potency, Zingiber has a particularly positive effect on the digestive system.

If you are administering a natural thyroid remedy to your pet, it's important to have the animal's thyroid checked regularly (at least every six months) to ensure hormones are within safe ranges. Consult your vet if symptoms persist or worsen.

How long until I see results?

Because Thyroid Soothe is 100% homeopathic, it gets to work quickly after the first dose to help address symptoms such as appetite disturbance, hyperactivity, shedding and increased nervousness and support balance in the thyroid gland. While some animals begin to show an almost immediate improvement that increases over time, others will see results after 3-5 days.

How long will a bottle last?

One bottle of Thyroid Soothe granules will last for approximately 30 days, depending on frequency of use and the size of your pet.

One bottle of Thyroid Soothe spray will last for approximately 32-33 days, depending on frequency of use and the size of your pet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product with fast results! Our kitty has been on this product of 2 weeks now & we can already see her hair beginning to grow back, a gain in her weight and most of all she's happy again without the agitation that she was experiencing before. Excellent product & easy to use! We just put it in a teaspoon of canned food 3X/day. She comes & asks for her meds now because she gets a treat with them. :) Thanks for a fantastic product!!! Rated 5 out of 5 by Balanced formula This product saved my cat's life after his negative reaction from Felimazole which took two weeks for the reaction to take place. Against my vet's orders, I took him off this pharmaceutical and if I hadn't he would have died in a matter of days. I ordered this, received it in about 5 days and started administering it. Amazing but slow recovery but what really surprised me is how happy he is, weight gain, more relaxed. Regrowth of belly hair as well. June 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I see a differance... I also use Pet Alive other suggested Thyroid meds from this site. Along with Milk Thisle, pumpkin, aloe juice, Pet Alive Immune & Digest, probiotics, baby food meats, natural balance can meats, and very little fish as I hear it is bad for cats with Thyriod issues. This product is the icing on the cake! My boy is 18yrs old. .. bless his heart he'z hanging in there well! Thyriod Soothie calms him & slows his cravings down. He rarely gets sick now which makes me feel better! The nice thing is you can keep using till you feel the animal is responding..... yeah! Usally two doses is all it takes. I feed him several times a day to keep his weightup this has also seemed to help with that too:-) It is worth a try and far better than the prescription drugs! Hope this was helpfull. May 25, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not a cure, but helps a little. When the vet given pills were causing more side effects than I felt comfortable with and seemed not be working as well I decided not to put my cat through the daily pill ritual anymore. She's already 18, so the surgery or radiation therapy is wasn't really a cost effective option nor did I want to but her through that at her age. I decided this was worth a shot. It's hard to tell if it makes her feel any better, but after 3 months of Thyroid Soothe only she is throwing up less and yowling for food less so that is at least something. Rather than throwing up at every meal it's more like once every other day. If you try it do give it at least a month before you give up. March 15, 2013

How has Thyroid Soothe helped others?

Thyroid Soothe has been used to relieve symptoms associated with hyperthyroidism in pets. Here is what some pet owners have to say:

“Our family cat of 10 years was losing weight even though she was eating like a trooper! I was concerned that she seemed to have no energy and used to try and cool off when it was hot (even though she was always fond of the sun). I was reluctant to put her on any harsh drugs. With our vets advice we looked around and found your site. I am glad to report that after using Thyroid Soothe she is like the old cat we knew!”

—Sam, NY, NY

Thyroid Soothe was my last hope for my 16 year old cat whose …thyroid medication was no longer working. I am happy to say that it is working! He has gained weight, his fur is fluffy again, and there is less vomiting. Thank you for your product and for giving my cat a chance at a longer and healthier life.”

—Wendy, NY, USA

“…Thyroid Soothe is a great product – I work for a vet on weekends and see so many customers bringing in their pets for this condition. I am happy to report that I tried this on my own cat, and my boss could not believe the difference.”

—Kay, AL, USA

“At almost 16 years of age Harley started losing weight and becoming very boney at her last vet visit. She was eating more food than my other two cats combined. I tried the Thyroid Soothe in order to help her regain some youth without an invasive procedure. After about 2 weeks, she was acting like her old self, and her appetite was under control. I hope she will be part of the family for years to come.”

—Melissa, PA, USA

“My cat Joe seemed to be drinking a lot more than usual and then urinating frequently. When I noticed he had been vomiting I took him to our vet… My husband has used your human remedies (Thyroid Assist), so I decided why not use the animal remedies for Joe. He has been using Thyroid Soothe and is doing well.”

—Alison Anne

“My wife has been so worried about our cat, but after ordering Thyroid Soothe, she has improved so much (the cat and my wife!) Thanks for another great remedy!”
